My name is Jo. I am a fan of reading. I consume books at an incredible rate and love a wide variety of subjects. Many of my friends ask me for recommendations on books and so I decided to make a record of them here.
Quality reading in the US and Europe seems to be a skill that’s disappearing from some areas of society. I see more and more junk journalism, self-help nonsense and poorly researched history filling the book stores and cropping up at Amazon.
Hopefully we can redress the balance.
I am a free thinker, I have no interest in political bias. I have no belief in any religion, paranormal activity or super-human abilities. I do not have an agenda to push and I love creative thinking, new ideas and perspectives.
I spend a lot of time researching conspiracy theories then debunking them and have a fondness for sceptical thinking, freethinking and well informed debate.
I’ll admit I love a good argument as long as it’s well informed and backed up from a RELIABLE source. I hope to hold debates later on and will be asking friends of mine who range from scientists to philosophers to professors to join in with their opinion.
